A Bali dinner is the best dinner,
Of course. Because you’re in Bali. But like I had my favorite Bali breakfast places, I also had my favorite Bali dinner places. I decided to pick the ones where you do not get the traditional Indonesian food. Some of the warungs are simply amazing, I’ve eaten the best gado gado’s and nasi gorengs of my life. But if you don’t want to eat Indonesian all the time, there’s options. And these are my faves:
This one I found on my way to the beach in Canggu. I had lunch here three times, dinner once. Yeah, this is a good one. And I’m not the only one who thinks so, seeing as it’s pretty crowded usually. I can’t tell you what your best choice is at Betelnut, because every single thing I ate was delicious. Burrito’s, salads, falafel. Go for it!
I ate at Watercress twice and had the same salad twice, if that isn’t a good sign I don’t know what is. Best vegetarian salad ever, with tempe, feta and lots of different vegetables. First time I ate it was in Seminyak, I also had all sorts of fried veggies that time. So good. Second time I picked it, I was in Ubud. The location wasn’t as good, because it was next to a busy road, but the desert was amazing. Oreo cheesecake, need I say more?
Are you a big fan of Italian food? Then a visit to La Baracca is mandatory. The photo up here is theirs. They serve the best pastas here. With meat, fish, vegetarian or even vegan. The options are endless, cliche or not. And the people are super friendly by the way. There’s two of ‘em, one in Seminyak that is quite small and a bigger one in Canggu on your way to Echo Beach. Both have their charme so why not try both?
