Is that a bunch of real life Barbies and Ken’s we see on Björn Borg’s spring/summer 2015 runway? Not exactly. They’re actually models with rock hard bodies and masks that are just a little bit creepy, if you look at it up close.
It’s quite the contrast really. A rough and natural cave in which models walk with plastic faces and perfectly styled clothing. It’s an image created by Bea Åkerlund for Björn Borg’s show during Stockholm Fashion Week.
The plastic is not a random choice though, because this show is actually a sort of preview for the computer game the fashion brand created, called First Person Lover, celebrating individuality, love and fashion in a digital era. Here’s the whole show, in case you’re wondering:
