Pay for one pair of shoes and buy two. Sounds like heaven right? The second pair is not to be kept though, it’s gonna be given away to someone who needs it way more than we do. Because that’s what they do at Toms.
It’s 2006 when Blake Mycoskie meets a couple of kids in a village in Argentina, wearing no shoes whatsoever. Because he feels like he should help them, he starts Toms and decides that every pair sold, will mean a pair given to kids like the ones he saw. One for one, is what it’s called. How great is that?
And it’s the perfect excuse to buy a new pair of shoes of course, it’s like donating to charity! Which is very good news, because Toms actually had lots of pairs that I’d like to see added to my collection. Here’s my favorites!
